Dr Niamh Power obtained her medical degree from Dublin University, Trinity College. She completed her basic and higher specialist training in general and forensic psychiatry in Ireland and the UK where she worked extensively in specialist secure hospitals, prisons and in general psychiatry settings between 1998 and 2016. She has also worked internationally, including in the Middle East and the Caribbean. She has been working as a consultant psychiatrist in Luxembourg since 2017. She is the medical lead for the Clinique de l’Attention, a national, specialist assessment and treatment center for adults with ADHD and comorbid conditions in Luxembourg.
Dr Power has a long standing interest in ADHD and has completed specialist training in Adult ADHD with UKAAN, and other organisations.
